We recognize that success in learning to swim depends on a child's comfort and security in the water, as well as the quality of instruction. Superb teaching, small swim groups, and our eight developmentally appropriate pools, have helped generations of campers make outstanding progress in swimming.

Campers swim every day; those in our half-day program swim once a day, while those in our mini-day and full-day programs swim twice each day. The morning swim period consists primarily of instructional time, with limited free swim; the afternoon swim includes instruction followed by free swim.

Our swim program is unique because of the following:

  • Eight individually heated pools with depths appropriate for all ages and swimming abilities.
  • Over 75 lifeguards, many of whom are certified as Water Safety Instructors (WSI's).
  • Instruction supervised by WSI's and taught by lifeguard/instructors and our highly trained general counselor staff, all following the American Red Cross Swim Progression.
  • Swim groups consisting of 2-6 campers per instructor according to age and ability.
  • The same swim supervisor and swim staff team consistently work with campers throughout the season.
  • Free swim highlighted by games, recreational pool equipment and our spectacular water slides.
  • Uncompromising safety standards.
