Mohawk's campsite began as a farm more than 285 years ago. It still retains a nostalgic charm with original farmhouses, stone walls, an apple orchard, a grape arbor, and some of the most stunning trees in Westchester. Today, our farm site is complete with ponies, chickens, ducks, a llama, piglets, goats, sheep, peacocks, and other farm friends!

Our Nature Center for younger children permits campers to experience the wonder of bunnies, frogs, reptiles, duckling, insects, butterflies, and more through puppetry, stories and close-up exposure to living creatures supervised by our qualified staff.

Older campers are very excited to learn about chinchillas, turtles, snakes, reptiles, and a range of other furry friends as well as explore pond life at our environmental pond, go on nature walks to the farm or play nature games.

As you can see, Mohawk campers have an unrivaled opportunity to study nature. And no nature experience would be complete without our weekly pony rides and hay rides for younger campers!
